Fused Deposition Modeling Process (FDM)

Thermoplastic modeling material is fed into the temperature-controlled FDM extrusion head and heated to a liquid state. The head extrudes and deposits the material in ultra thin layers onto a fixtureless base. Fused deposition modeling creates plastic prototyping models and production parts out of high-performance engineering materials such as ABS plastic, polycarbonate, medical grade Class VI polycarbonate and polyphenylsulfone. The mechanical properties of these high-performance engineering plastic prototyping materials allow us to produce models that can be assembled, tested, and even used as production parts.
